Federal Republic of South Adria Governmental Structure Information
I. Executive Branch
The Executive branch of South Adria is composed of the President of South Adria and the Ministers. The President fulfills the role of general oversight of the Federal Republic of South Adria, with a new President being elected by the people of South Adria every five years. The Ministers oversee and manage their respective departments. For example, the Minister of Foreign Affairs oversees the Department of Foreign Affairs.
II. Legislative Branch
The Legislative branch of South Adria is composed of the National Representatives, who create, discuss, and enact laws in tandem with the President and the Ministers of any departments related to or affected by aforementioned laws. If the legislative branch is, for whatever reason, incapable of deliberation on a certain law, the President gets the deciding vote.
III. Judicial Branch
The Judicial branch of South Adria is composed of, in ascending order of importance, the sub-district courts, the district courts, the regional courts, and the National Court. The National Court handles deliberation of major legal issues within the Federal Republic of South Adria, while the lower courts handle legal issues within their sub-district, district, or region. In the event of an unsatisfactory ruling, anyone affected by a legal ruling can appeal the ruling to a higher court for re-examination, with the exception of the National Court.
IV. Foreign Policy
The Federal Republic of South Adria's current goal with foreign policy is to ensure the safety and prosperity of the people of South Adria, preferably through peaceful measures. Foreign policy is managed by the Department of Foreign Affairs, which manages and oversees the construction of embassies, the creation of treaties with other nations (in tandem with the National Representatives, with the exception of peace treaties), declarations of war and peace treaties (in tandem with the President), and other matters of foreign affairs.
V. Rights and Privileges of Citizens
All citizens of the Federal Republic of South Adria are given certain rights and privileges. All citizens have the right to life, self-expression, and self-determination, which are inviolable insofar as they are not used for the suppression of others' rights and privileges. A more detailed list of the rights and privileges of the citizens of South Adria will be codified when arbitration is complete.
VI. Attainment (and Revoking) of Citizenship
All persons actively seeking citizenship within South Adria are to be given citizenship insofar as they are not a threat to national security, the rights and safety of citizens of South Adria, and are willing to follow laws enacted by the National Representatives. Citizenship is not to be revoked unless explicitly requested by a citizen with citizenship in two or more countries, or under extreme circumstances; whether a situation is considered to be extreme circumstance is to be arbitrated on a case-by-case basis by the National Court with approval from a majority of Representatives and the President.
VII. Management and Separation of Military and Civilian Governance
To prevent military rule and the tyranny that comes with it, military and civilian leadership are almost entirely separated. The armed forces of South Adria, which are composed of the Army, Navy, National Guard, and Air Force, are led by the President and Department of Armed Forces. The President oversees and commands the entire armed forces of South Adria, with the Department of Armed Forces aiding the President in efficient operation. Under no circumstances is the President or Minister of Armed Forces given permission to use the armed forces of South Adria to ensure control of the people of South Adria.
