Panthenia and the elections

With Panthenia being ejected for rules violations, I don't see how he can continue on in his quest for the Senate. That leaves us with Eu-topia vs. no one and TheSensitveNewAge vs. Anceltierre vs. Broken Toasters.

Here's what those two original matchups looked like.

Since it just makes sense to switch the matchups around, I think it should be Anceltierre vs. EU-topia & TheSensitiveNewAge vs. Broken Toasters.

If anyone has any comment on this, please respond in here because the election starts in about 24 hours.

Please, I seriously do not know what i have done wrong and i have asked one of the moderators and he does not know either. All i know is that i have worked very hard over the past month to get this campaign going (typing out debates, speeches etc.) and i don't see why i should be knocked out for something i didn't do. If you thought i did something wrong i am terribly sorry but i never will break any rules whilst in 10000 Islands. I have realised my responsibility and my dream is to become senator, please don't take it away.

Maybe I missed something but what did Panthenia do? If there is a case to answer rather than an arbitrary decision perhaps this should go to the Council of Nine for a more complete hearing. Just make it fast as Panthenia has campaigned hard and shouldn’t be punished if he (?) is innocent.

I wish to state that i have telegrammed at least 3 different moderators both personally and on the "getting help" page and only one (Enodia) has replied. I asked him what i did wrong and he said that he did not know and told me to get help from the getting help page!!!
Anyway i also wish to state that i have no idea what i have done wrong and as far as i know neither do the moderators. I feel i have campaigned very hard and used up a lot of my time on this forthcoming election and i feel that i should not be kicked out for something i did not do.
I want to make it clear that i am very loyal to 10000 Islands and TITO and i am very keen to stay and achieve my goals. I have recieved many offers for me to join other regions and have rejected every time. I am keen to become Senator and hopefully Grub will reconsider and allow me to run in this forthcoming Election.

I apologize to everyone for the incionvenience caused and i promise it will not happen again. As i have said i am extremely sure that i am innocent but that will be left for the moderators to decide.

In the meantime i just hope that Grub will welcome me back into the election and we can all put the past behind us and get on with the oncoming Elections.

To run for Senate, you must live in the 10000 Islands and be in the UN. Since Panthenia was ejected, I don't even know if he is eligible to even be in the UN anymore. The election starts late tonight and if this isn't cleared up by then I don't see how I can continue to let a nation that was completely erased by the mods to stay in the race. There had to be some reason you were ejected.

I don't know the full reason for Panthenia's ejection, but a mod wrote me and mentioned Panthenia in the same sentence as Kidsgrove & Pidgeon Turd (the two nations that were ejected from the 10000 Islands and also kicked completely out of NationStates for multiple rules violations).

If this isn't suitably cleared up (official explanation and clearing by a mod) within the next 15 hours, we will have to move on without Panthenia for this race. If Panthenia is cleared later, then he can always run two months down the line in the next batch of Senate elections (There will be two elections in two months).

If Panthenia is cleared by this evening, and "tech." allowed to join the UN (*either a mod autmatically re-instating the nation or he apply's) will he be allowed to continue with the race??

A somewhat-similar incident happened in North America with an ALP ally, that caused the nation to be erased because of it's name. No warning was given to the leader. After a lobbying group, the Mods found that it was wrong of them to delete the nation, and a new one was formed. All stats returned and everything.

If Panthenia is reinstated or allowed to, by being cleared, will you allow the nation to continue to run for the UN, since if it came to that, it was the Mods fault, not Panthenia's?

This must be cleared up within the next few hours for Panthenia to continue on in the election. I would suggest that he contact every mod he can find ASAP to get an answer back to him (and me).

As quite an experienced member of both 10000 Islands and TITO it hurts me to say goodbye.

I have nothing against Grub who is a great guy and the rest of you have been awesome. However, a region like this should have a pact of Trust for it's fellow nations; i don't feel i have been given that.

It hurts me that i have not been given that trust. Over the past month i have devoted so much of my time after school to typing out my campaign and for Grub to now tell me i cannot take part is an insult.

I Apologize to the ones that have supported me, naming EU-Topia, Mark01, A Lee Project and Jamzland as a few. I have been extremely loyal to the 10000 Islands and i really love being here.

You may feel this is just an old cliche but i really mean it, i did nothing wrong...nothing. I have spent most of my time in NationStates in this region and it hurts me to leave this way.

I know Grub will probably eject me when he reads these comments but there is no need to as i am on my way out anyway.

A sad day - we feel sure that an injustice has been committed - unless there are reasons we have not been made aware of - and feel the loss of Panthenia is a loss to 10000 Islands.

We realise it is now too late to change the outcome, but the parliament of GW and the Office of the Protector-General are agreed that we must make this gesture, especially as we arrived back too late in the day to lobby on behalf of Panthenia.

As I am sorry to see Panthenia leave, it seems he is just quitting. As for the bond of Trust, according to certain laws a senator must reside in the 10000 Islands and be in the UN. He, to my knowledge, is not in the UN. Whether that is his fault or not, he cannot be allowed to run for senator. I am deeply sorry to see this happen but the law must prevail or else 10000 Islands and it's constitution will mean nothing. If he wishes to come back and try again in 2 months I will personally welcome him with arms open. Also, I hope and trust that Grub will not eject him for writing a bit of criticism.

It is very sad to see Panthenia leave. After being ejected with 200 nations from the FPA and also watching one of the members leave because of endorsements-related issues, this little event I believe is to be taken very seriously. I'm not good at explaining things because of my English, but I believe we should review how future elections should be held and how these cases should be determined. To be honest, I believe that there should have been some kind of public vote for this. I know not every nation is on this board.

This is up for debate and in no way to condemn the actions and statements of anyone.

As for Panthenia, or anyone for that matter, if you get your nation deleted by a mod, something bad happened somewhere. Is it possible that a deleted nation was caught in the crossfire? Sure. But, like they say, where there's smoke there's usually fire.

You have to remember that Panthenia was also ejected from this region a few weeks back for sending out nasty telegrams to 10000 Islands members. He was very apologetic, so I let him back in. Since he came back he was a model citizen and was also an Ambassador for us. He did a great job there too.

Anyway, one of the things I'm trying to say is that we have a constitution and I 100% agree that Senators need to be in the UN and live in this region. They should also live up to the highest standards of our region.

I'd agree too, but maybe there needs to be some tweaking in the Constitution itself and maybe a hearing by the Council of Nine isn't enough, I mean 40% of the region is non-UN and I know that they don't really have a resident spot. I can see why but these are just some suggestions. I'm only a n00b in this region so please correct me if something I said was inappropriate or have been dealt with before. Have fun!

I am an example of what can happen quite innocently having been ejected and reinstated by the moderators ... however, I did not have any trouble getting them to reply or help me (maybe I was lucky?).

In any case, I think its good that we'll give nations time to fix such issues in the future. Perhaps a week knowing how there can be lags? I know I was certainly relieved to have both the time and trust of my fellow nations.

Panthenia was just unlucky at the timing of this incident. Had it been 2 weeks ago or two weeks later it wouldn't have mattered. I also think he was quite looking forward to the elections and was dissapointed when he couldn't run. When it happened lots of nations said they were telegramming the mods but I have not heard of anybody getting a reply so mabe they are just busy. It will be interesting to see what happens when somebody does get a reply as I would like to know if he is innocent or not. I must admit I was getting on with Panthenia.

The mods have mistakenly ejected about five 10000 Islands nations from the UN before and then reinstated them shortly after. I'm not saying it can't happen, but I don't think I've ever seen a nation get completely deleted and then brought back to life.

It's sort of like being banned from the UN is just being arrested and being deleted is being sentenced to a prison term.

In NA a nation called assjackistan was deleted for its name, the nations petitioned the mods and he was reinstated. Mind this happened long before I was placed there.

I am just catching up on all the gossip since I have been in the hospital every day with my partner.
I do think however that Panthenia should have been allowed to run in the senate elections, and would have made a great senator.
I don't believe in the motto where there is smoke there is fire, and believe that we should support him in his campaign to get back into nation states.
like Loresong says we could have given him a week or two to sort things out.
