"Campaign of Experience for A Lee Project" (4/04)

Greetings,

I am not going to bore you or tell you alot of promises that my fellow collegues will do. Simply, I will state my reasons for the Delegacy and Experience.

Prior to my rant, I would like to wish all my fellow candidates I am running along with, the best of luck.
I will support the winner.

Experience:
1. Ambassador without Portfolio.
- A Lee Project was once a member of the region of North America. The nation served the region to the upmost respect, by becoming the first ever Ambassador without Portfolio. Although the titile allowed the state to move around, the main spot that ALP focused on was the region of 10000 Islands. Eventually, the region grew with A Lee Project, which in turned, became the new region to A Lee Project.

2. Co-Founder of the Assembly of Conservative-Based Nations
- ALP help create one of the founding parties in the region, which also was noted as the first party with a consitution, first to motion the Council of Nine, first to have achieved 10+ Members, and first to have elected a party representative. Currently the ALP is the President of the party - which works along side both Honourable Odracir (Senator/Min. Senator ACN) and Boktavia (Deputy Prime Minister ACN)

3. Minister of Labour
- ALP succesfully was appointed Minister of Labour by the Honourable United States of Grub (Founder.) Since the appointment, ALP has become a voice in the Council of Nine, and works to the loyalty of 10000 Islands.

4. Ambassador to the (New) Meritocracy (ALP Hamelin)
- ALP has recently became the Ambassador to the Meritocracy. Already, the regional heads of the Meritocracy is asking for suggestions and always wanting an opinion from the 10000 Islands, via, A Lee Project. With connections already established, the position of Delegate should be very Diplomatic. (Even in the issues of War, Peace and Civil-Troubles)

5. Ten-thousand Islands Treaty Organization (TITO)
- ALP has been involved with TITO, ever since the nation became a citizen of the region. Currently (April 5th) ALP has 13 TITO Battle Stars and two Ribbons.
Now, that doesnt make a great leader, but it shows high involvement in the region.

I do not believe TITO should be a measure of a state.

U.N. Committee
- I would like to create a committe of Council of Nine Members and citizens, half anf half TITO and NON_TITO, to assist in the decisions of the UN throught the position of Delegate. If elected, I will be seeking regular input from members of the region, on advice to the decisions of the U.N. The Delegate works for you! Someone with experience is impartive!

ALP believes that the position of Delegate is one of the most crucial positions in the regional government.

With the United Nations daily taking the sovereignty away from the heads of nations, it is important to send a state as Delegate, to choose what is best for the region....but more important for YOUR nation!

I, Sultan Saparmurat of Türkmenbashy, will vouch for ALP's bid. He was the first friend I made when I arrived to this region and in the time I've known him, he has shown himself to be a dedicated and conscientious person, and he does stand strongly for his beliefs.

He is capable, trustworthy and will not compromise on our most fundamental issues, especially security. His experience as long time TITO member and his various ambassadorial postings and party leadership stand him good stead and marks him as one of the most experienced candidates running in this race.

My nation and I care deeply for the welfare of this fine region, and wish to see it grow from strength to strength, its reputation as a champion of freedom upheld. This is why I am supporting ALP, because I want effective, dedicated and capable leadership.

I sincerely respect the considerable time and effort that you have put in, in service to 10K Islands; I am quite frankly awed by your accomplishments.

That being said, I do have a question, which I hope you will not see as disrespectful. I know, from reading various posts, as well as your presidency and co-founding of ACN, that you are quite obviously conservative in your politics. I am wondering if you will strictly follow that conservative line in your handling of UN proposals; or if you will be open to well thought out debate for, or consideration of, a center or left-of-center opinion or proposal.

As you are aware, I am a conservative.
A Social-Conservative.

If elected as Delegate, I will serve EVERYONE.
As I mentioned earlier, I would like to create a Committee consisting of members from the 10000 Islands. Plus, I also mentioned I will be seeking members input. Be it Liberal or Conservative based nations.. I will support the region to the direction given.

If the majority feels I should vote for something, that I may personally believe is different in my views, I am serving the people, and if the majority wants me to vote a certain way, then I will follow with the Majority.

What I feel makes me different from the other candidates are the culture I have been exposed to, participation, and loyalty.

Cultured - Besides the list mentioned above, I feel with the fact A Lee Project has called 3 regions home since creation, and 2 additional regions home for it's dominion, we have broaden our horizons in the Nation States world.

Participation - As mentioned above, I am one of the most active participants in the region.

Loyalty - Ever since ALP called 10K Home, we have been loyal to the welfare of our regional states, by taking up the helm of Minister of Labour, ACN President and Ambassador.

Choosing ALP to endorse was tough because alot (if not all) of the nations running for delegate are good choices, but in the end I chose ALP because I know he will make an excellent delegate.

"Good Evening fellow allies and representatives.

I have had to come to a hard decision with my Chancellor and offices in both A Lee Project, and the 10000 Islands Regional Government. As you are fully aware of, the Democratic Parliaments of A Lee Project has placed a bid into the Regional Delegacy race in our great and mighty region. "Campaign of Experience for A Lee Project" has been sucessful in part from those who support the ideals of ALP and the experience gained to take office.

However, due to a lack of support,(3rd Place for a long period of time with no +/-), a call for an open debate (that was never seen to happen), and other regional (close) pressures, effective midnight April 13th, 2004 (EST), the Democratic Parliaments of A Lee Project will be officially pulling from the race for Delegate.

We feel it is an unfortunate set back for not only ALP, but for the region that ALP will not be elected as delegate. We have so many ideas, but since the region is favouring the other Honourable nations, there is no longer the support required for myself and ALP to pursue this any longer.

To whom the Delegate nation that is elected, I will help out in the most ways possible. Keeping in mind, that ALP is still Minister of Labour, ACN President and an Ambassador.

I would like to formally thank those who have helped out in ALP's campaign, and all those who supported A Lee Project for this possible endeavour, however, the ship has seemed to have sailed away from A Lee Project.
