Surprise... Another Naoi Campaign! (5/04 Senate)

As many of you have noticed, and as Down Under There as brought up, I've ran for every office possible since I've been here, and still have yet to win, even once.

Well, here I go again.

First off, I'd like to tell everyone that this campaign is going to be a little different than the others. For one thing, I'm not going to make any promises, nor will I tell you what I plan on doing once elected. The fact of the matter is that I simply don't know what I can or cannot do in the Senate, as I have never held such a seat before. It would however be an honor to do so. Besides, in the last two races, my campaigns were exactly the same, mostly in part because I haven't changed. If you'd like to see these campaigns, they are in the History Department.

Instead of boring you all with promises and plans, I'd like you all to tell me what it is you want in a senator. What traits do you see when you see a model senator? In all honesty, I think I would make a good senator. I will hold a seat in the Council of Nine and still maintain Taco Island as best as I can. It's awesome playing all of the games with everyone. LOL I'd play "Who's going to post next" more often if I were any good at it!

Anyway, I just want you all to know that I haven't changed yet since I joined 10000 Islands back in February. And once again, this campaign is open to complete discussion, and you are all free to ask any questions, even if they are irrelevant.

I'm sure you're all saying, "Oh look, old Ad's posting on Naoi's thread, looks like he's gonna endorse him!"

This is true. I am.

However, I have logic behind this, not just a bond of allies and friendship. You see, Naoi's been an excellent choice for all of these elections. He's been working hard for a well-deserved officership for almost too long now.

Do you want someone who works for what they want, or someone who has had it all and wants only more?

Parthini has been one of our greatest delegates. He's gained and fully earned the respect and admiration of the entire region. He's been through the routine, he's held the second highest office in the region. Not only that, but he's a pirate fan.

Games are about having fun, not dominating. Sometimes, I just feel like letting the little guy take charge. I think Naoi truly deserves and has earned a seat on the Senate, if nothing else. He's worked hard for every position possible, and has only recently earned his first moderator stars on Taco Island, which he spearheaded.

Sure, Parthini was an excellent delegate. Sure, Parthini'd make a great senator. Sure, Parthini would make good decisions. However, Naoi deserves at least a shot. "The man" has kicked him in the crotch far too many times for him to be obliterated by a former delegate. It's like Lincoln or Roosevelt running for mayor of Podunk, USA.

I now officially endorse Naoi, however, my fullest respect, gratitude, and honor goes out to Parthini for his excellent service for the 10000 Islands.

Naoi has my vote. He has been working his butt of in this region for a long time now and deserves this. I also think he has the great leadership qualities that will help lead the 10KI to further greatness.

But now I think it's time to tell people some things about me and some reasons why I might make a wise choice for thier vote.

First off, I have done everything that I've had the power to do to help 10000 Islands. I wrote the proposal for the "Ministry of Morale" which later turned into the hit thread "Taco Island." The purpose of this was to help the Immigration Department keep our population high... and it seems to have been working.

I am currently resuming the rather diligent process of creating a map for 10000 Islands. Now that I am graduating high school and summer is coming, I will have much more time during the day to just sit and work on the map without having to worry about anything.

I'm rather resiliant, if you haven't noticed by now. I fight for what I believe in, and continue to do so until I reach my goal. This also brings up a keen sense of dedication.

I can only do so much to help everyone in the postition I currently hold. Your vote for me will be a vote for everyone, and a vote well spent.

The fact that you love to have fun and actually GET TO KNOW the Islanders is what totally astounds me. I know more about you than I do about the other canidates (other than their speeches and stuff) and I know you'll try to do that. The Ministry showed your talent for a good plan, so Huzzah! Naoi, you have my vote.

I kind of get the feeling that people are voting me just because they like me, because of Taco Island and previous relationships.

Kind of like how Fleeb said on Parthini's campaign; this shouldn't be a popularity contest by any means. If you feel that I am the best candidate, that is when you should vote for me. If you feel that Henneth Annun or Parthini are the best choice, then by all means, vote for them. Fleeb was also right when he said your vote is what decides the future of 10000 Islands. This is some pretty serious stuff.

I'm flattered to have your votes, but I just want to make sure they were made with the right judgement, and not just because I'm the Taco Island guy. Thanks everybody, you're still all rad.

I believe your record will hold it's own. As others have pointed out, you have worked hard for this region, and even though I haven't been around that long I can tell you will be an excellent choice for Senate.

Ah, Naoi, my comments have been misconstrued. I meant that your activity and commitment, not because I think you're cool. Or is it kinda synonymous? Anyway, I think that the stuff you've done shows that you'd make a great senator. Better?

LOL I didn't post that because of what you said. I've just noticed that some of the Taco Island people are voting for me, and to me it feels like it's just cuz I'm a familiar face.

But I won't stop people from voting for me if they've looked over all of the campaigns and still believe I'm the guy for the job. That's what this is all about.

He is the best cantidate there is and he deserves it. Parthini must step down for a while and let other nations take charge. Naoi has LITTERALY been SLAPPED across the face. Yes, Grub is someone who did that. I am someone who did that. Naoi sacraficed all of his endorsments in the midst of the DELEGATE ELECTIONS, and that deserves the utmost respect. Keeping this in mind, I publicaly endorse Naoi for senator, and I suggest you do the same.

Okay, hehe... I thank you tons for your vote, but I'm kind of confused about the "slap in the face" part...

If you've heard any of my recent stories regarding real life events, then yeah... I've been slapped in the face, kicked in the crotch, dropped from really, really, rediculously high buildings, and I've cried, but I have a feeling that's not exactly what you're talking about.
