Dang! New Boniventure is smacking everyone in his race, and the Naoi-Parthini matchup is the tightest ever I think.

Have you noticed the lack of public outcry because of the "insiders" endorsements?

Of the two other elections I've seen, this seems to be the smoothest so far.

Yeah, I think that has a lot to do with Texarcana being gone also though. But this does go to show that a Grub endorsement doesn't necessarily equal a win. It's really close, and the voter turnout is really high also.

I had to flip a coin between Noai and Parthini. This is an interesing election. As to New Boniventure, I remember when I was running for Senate I was afraid I might have to run against him. That would have been tough.

Yeah, the Parthini-Naoi matchup is really close. Am I the only one that noticed that it has a ton more views than the other one? NB is destroying his opponents. A NB-Parthini-Naoi election would have been cool to watch also, but I'm sure those three wouldn't like it. Too stressful.

It would be cool to do one... just for fun.

I guess the results would be pretty weighed based on who wins these elections or not though.

I became texacara-ized. I was just thinking that you shaped the senate to your way.

Don't become too Texarcana-ized because he eventually dishonored himself and broke an oath he took in an effort to hurt the 10000 Islands.

With whom I endorse, I do try an endorse nations that I think would do the best job. That, though, doesn't mean that other nations wouldn't also do a good job. I just try to take all factors into account on what this region needs and that's how I base my endorsement decisions.

But you ultimately would still have the power to influence any nation into voting for that nation. Although this debate has been time and time again brought up, it is still an issue.

No, it's not. Grub endorse Parthini, but he's still losing. If this isn't clear enough, then I don't know what is.

This debate has been brought up time after time, and the same arguments have always been used. The only argument now is the pure evidence.

Even if I were to lose, the fact that the race is as close as it has been proves that Grub doesn't have control over these people. If he did, he would do something to eliminate the people that stand against him. For instance, Ad Infinitum would be gone for endorsing me all of the times he has when I wasn't one of Grub's choices.

Grub's just a good founder and he's doing what he believes will be best for 10000 Islands. Of course his voice will make a direct impact in where all of the votes are placed, but people can still think for themselves, and I think that's quite obvious this time around.

Odracir, this reminds me of a similar current event. Conrad Black owns Hollinger Inc and has been very controversial because he owns a lot of newspapers, up to about I believe 40-60% of them. He is very conservative, and no doubt in Canada he would be sided with the Conservatives. Yet the Liberals are still winning. So, what does this mean? Yes, the Liberals are winning, meaning that he may not have that much power of influence, but because he owns this huge chain of newspapers doesn't mean he can't influence and control what others think, because he has the right to say what articles are in the newspaper and what shouldn't be published.

He may have set them up strategically, but it's still completely fair, as NB is up against more nations and still winning by a landslide. The "insider" and "Grub's endorsements are unfair" theories are shattered by this election, as Naoi continues to barely lead over Parthini while NB's is much less competitive.

In my opinion, New Boniventure defines senator.
