Hello! My name is Yavanna, for those of you who do not know me, and I would like to take a
moment to share why I would like the opportunity to represent you as Senator.
I care a great deal about this region and its people, and I am deeply committed to 10000 Islands.
I currently serve as Deputy Minister of Education, I am a proud member of TITO, I assist in the
History Department, and I serve as a sponsor in the New Nations Sponsorship Program. Since
coming to 10000 Islands, I have earned 16 TITO Battle Stars, the Order of the Islands Medal,
and the New Boniventure Eagle Medal.
I can promise that I will work very hard if elected, and that I will listen to all concerns and
questions any nation may have. I will work to be your voice in the Senate, and will bring the
same level of commitment to the Senate that I have endeavored to bring to TITO and Education.
Some of you may have concerns about my party affiliation. I am a proud member of the RCP; I
joined the party because of my love for this region and concerns for its security. I do not believe
that non-UN nations should have a vote. My reason: It would be very easy for DEN II, the NPO,
or any raider region to move non-UN puppets here, and signifigantly affect/ change this region,
or install one of their own as delegate. This would be terrible. This region, in my opinion, is
the most democratic and free region in NationStates; we have a variety of cultures, politics, and
opinions. We have such wonderful debates. I would hate to see an outside source be able to
restrict the freedoms we enjoy; or worse, completely dismantle the glory of the Islands we share.
That being said, I assure you that I am more than willing to listen to, and take into consideration
the concerns of, non-UN nations. I would be very pleased if everyone in this region was active
and voiced what they would like to see. Every nation here has a chance to affect and shape
10000 Islands in some way, to make it even greater than it already is.
I welcome your questions. Thanks for your consideration, and I look forward to taking part in
our wonderful democratic process.
