[New Boniventure]

I have decided to run for one of the four positions in the 10000 Islands Senate.

I plan to start my campaign as soon as the constitution is ratified. Any support or help with my campaign would be greatly appreciated.

My platform on some issues may change over time, but one thing is always for sure:
I will work hard to make sure your voice is heard, and I will always put my vote in Senate towards what is best for all of us.

**Repeated Announcement as Seen on Civil HQ**

New Boniventure is pleased to announce that we are running for the 10000 Islands Senate.
As senator, my main goal would be to make sure all of your voices are heard. When elected, I will set up a forum for all my constituents to voice their opinions about events happening in Senate.

I would also stress that TITO becomes even more involved with inter-regional affairs. As we all know, region-crashers are the scum on our world. It is time that we take more action against them. With the excellent strength of TITO, and the determination we all share, we can truly make a difference.

Now, for a brief history of New Boniventure and 10000 Islands.

- When I was still a rather 'young' nation, I was working hard to win the fight against region-crashers. During one of my spying missions, I intercepted word that the 10000 Islands, then a region about 40 nation, may be a target of the then powerfull region Empire of Power (now Empire of Imperials). I instantly posted up warnings on the 10000 Islands message board. The nations of 10000 Islands act quickly, and many other regions rush to help. The battle over 10000 Islands roars on for a few days, but finally, the Empire of Power is defeated.
- I continued to work against regions such as the Empire of Power, with the help of a few friends. During this time, I am working as an intelligence worker for the region Urbanites. After about a month of hard work, I am promoted to Urbanites Advocate for Intelligence (the highest position in the Urbanites Intelligence Angency)
- I serve as Urbanites Advocate for Intelligence during the Urbanite delegate's entire term, and then I see it fit for me to resign and move to the fine region of 10000 Islands.
- After a while in 10000 Islands, I can honestly say that I have found the perfect region for me.
- And here I am today, running for Senate so I can give a little back to a region that has given me so much, and that I call home.

New Boniventure's current policy on TITO:

For quite a while now, TITO has been one of the worlds largest defence and liberating organizations. It has made a large difference in the world by helping innocent regions in their time of need.
Although the 10000 Islands Senate has very little power over TITO, I will also stress how important it is that TITO plays an important part in world diplomacy. TITO must also maintain it's dedication to helping regions in need by keeping close tabs on regions known for region-crashing. I will also encourage steps that will help TITO grow larger, and become more involved in the world scene.

New Boniventure on the Constitution:

Recently, the constitution of 10000 Islands was released. In my opinion, it is a fantastic document that will guide our region well. This constitution gives all of us the chance to take part in our regional government and to prosper in a democratic enviroment. This constitution also insures strength and stability to our region. As senator, I will support Grub's power to ban nations from our region. I trust Grub's judgement, and while holding trials for nations before their ejections may seem much more fair, it simply is not practical. By the time a trial can be conducted, it may be to late. I do, however, agree that a trials should take place after the ejections if there is reason to believe the ejected nation may have been innocent.
While at this point in time our constitution will fit and serve our region well, times do change. As times change, so do the needs of the nations of 10000 Islands. So, I believe it is important that our constitution changes with all of our needs, and I will listen to all of your views on possible amendments.

At this point in my campaign, I am only planning on how I will be able to make all of your voices heard. Although, as senator, I would encourage treaties, but only if my constituents approve of the other region.

I will also try to answer your question by telling you a couple of the things I plan to do in my first few days in the Senate:
- Create a forum where all of you may voice your opinions about events in the 10000 Islands Senate.
- I will begin the hiring process of 2 nations that will help me keep in touch with all of you.

3.3. The Senate shall have the powers to approve statutes for the better governance of the 10000 Islands, ratify treaties, approve ambassadors, advise the UN delegate concerning UN issues, appoint subordinate tribunals to act as courts within the 10000 Islands, hold tribunals on appeal of judgments for violation of the constitution and statutes, and function as the Supreme Court of the 10000 Islands.

Above are the powers the Senate will hold when elected. I have noticed that some nations have been making post about how they will deal with certain issues that they actually don't have any power over. I'm not saying a disagree with your views, I am just pointing this out.

Preemptive Strikes: By 'preemptive strikes', I mean moving into a region to protect it, before any action has been made against it. Members of the 10000 Islands Senate do not have much power over TITO operations, but if I were in the situation where I was to advise Grub on whether we should organize a preemptive striked, I would only say yes if we had strong evidence that an attack was being planned.

It is very important that we continue to help regions in need, but we also must be smart and alert.

If we have good reason to believe their is an invasion about to happen, I would be in favor of TITO showing a small, yet sure presence in the 'victim region'.

As senator, I will also work very close with the new nations of 10000 Islands. When a nation joins 10000 Islands, I want to be sure that that nation understands that they are being represented in our government. I will work along with the 10000 Islands Department of Education to make sure that all nations understand their rights and role in the 10000 Islands. A nation that feel more involved in our region, will more likely stay and become an active member of 10000 Islands.

Although I'm not part of the region I would just like to add that I can verify NBs claims about his work for the Urbanites and him being Intel Advocate.

He was one of my best operatives when I ran intel and was a real asset to the region while I was Delegate.

It gives me great pleasure to see him have come so far from the early days of knowing him and even greater joy to know that he has found his home amongst the good people of the 10000 Islands.
