As Grub's post says, Ad Infinitum was deployed Friday night. I thought it'd be cool if each of us could post a neatoe thing about PAI or a particular memory - let's keep him in our thoughts as well as our prayers (if you pray).

One night The Undaunted, Naoi, PAI, and myself were all in the 10000 Islands chatzy room... we came up with some fun nicknames. I was about to leave and instead of saying "A figment of your imagination!" (it was late) I accidently typed "A figment of your immigration!" As you can probably guess, PAI loved that one and asked if he could steal it.
Another time I was talking to him about the grooves in some sort of cannon or something and I spent a good 20 minutes trying to figure out what he was talking about. Finally he phrased it in a particular way and I realized he was explaining something I had already figured out - that was a good hoot for both of us.
He's a great guy, lots of fun, and I already miss him!
Sir PAI, you're in my thoughts and my prayers. Hurry up and get your arse back. ;D You know the rest.

I miss him too, Boo, already. One of the funniest things I remember was a night he, Sheynat, and Grub were involved in guessing a city I had given clues to, on Taco Island. PAI kept blurting out obviously wrong guesses, repeatedly... hilarious!
I also was fortunate enough to have a few nights of "beer and pizza" on YIM with PAI. I'm sad that I have been so busy with school and work, and haven't been on YIM lately. I'll miss seeing that 'familiar face' when I log on. PAI was one of the best friends I had when I first joined 10K, and to this day!
I wish him the absolute best, and he will be ever in my thoughts and prayers! We miss ya, man!
Seriously, I'm going to miss him. I hope he gets deployed somewhere with a computer so he can check in every so often. He's a great guy. I could ask him all sorts of stupid questions-"Who would win in a war between Canada and Denmark?"-and he'd answer.
I hope he gets deployed somewhere with a computer so he can check in every so often.
Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately (to lessen distractions, etc.), according to my understanding (from talking to him), he won't have access to email, NS or YIM and he won't be able to receive or write letters until he's done.
Keep 'em coming!

I remember on his record-breaking Anything you wanted to ask a soldier thread he would always explain the *cough* verrrry simple things to me about the machinery etc., because, like Boo, I'm clueless

Hehe me too. And yet he doesn't mind us asking them at all! I haven't got to know him that well....but already I've had a lot of fun teasing him....along with Boo of course, and making up annoying nicknames to pay him back for one he called me once lol! ;D Still working on payback for Boo.....

I still think of him as smurf at times because of his first avitar.
