Rip Julia Child 
She was one of my favorite chefs to watch on tv growing up. Now that I have my own house hold I still enjoy her shows. She really was an amazing chef and taught many people, men and woman, the finer things about cooking. I still use her cookbook that was my moms first cookbook. She gave it to me when I moved out. Its like 40 years old and some of the ideas are out of date but the recipies and the ideas for dinner parties are great.
Julia Child was the first woman on tv with her own show, yes, before Martha. And not just her own show but the first cooking show. If it was not for her we would not have any cooking shows.
She will be missed by many.
