Hey, does anybody else have a fantasy football team? I've got one in a Yahoo league, and I need some advice for my game coming up this weekend. In the league, the season's over and the playoffs have started. There are 8 teams, so it's a 3-round playoff....you know, first 8 teams, then 4, then 2 (it also means everybody has their fair share of stars). I made it through the first round fine, seeing as I tied for best record in the league it was pretty easy, but now I'm up against the person I tied with for 1st, and they scored more total points than me in the season. We split the two games we played against each other in the season, 1-1. Here's the matchup:
Me:
QB: Daunte Culpepper
WR: Reggie Wayne
Mushin Muhammed
Torry Holt
RB: Tiki Barber
Deuce McAllister
TE: Antonio Gates
K: Jeff Wilkins
DEF: Baltimore
Bench: Steve McNair (QB, injured)
Jimmy Smith (WR)
Darrel Jackson (WR)
Rudi Johnson (RB)
Eric Johnson (TE)
New York Giants (DEF)
Opponent:
QB: Peyton Manning
WR: Marvin Harrison
Donald Driver
Nate Burleson
RB: Willis McGahee
LaDanian Tomlinson
TE: Alge Crumpler
K: David Akers
DEF: Carolina
Bench: Santana Moss (WR)
Amani Toomer (WR)
Corey Dillon (RB)
Warrick Dunn (RB)
Brain Leftwich (QB)
Seattle (DEF)
I don't think he's going to change his lineup, as he's been pretty dominating recently with it. But I can't decide who to put in for a couple situations. Do I keep in Torry Holt, who could have a tough game against the Eagles this weekend, or sub in Jimmy Smith, who's going against the Texans and had a good game against the Packers on Sunday? And do I keep in McAllister, or go for Rudi Johnson? But then I would have Barber and Johnson, who are playing against each other this coming week, both starting. But it could be safer than gambling on one or the other to do well....it's so hard to choose, especially with the championship quite possibly on the line, since the 3rd and 4th place finishers were both upset by like the 6th and 7th seed guys.
