Anyone got little "embarrassing" moments to share?

I'll start us out with a interesting story:

Just today I logged onto a computer at the school library and typed in Yahoo's address (www.yahoo.com). As the page pulls up, I am surprised to find Yoda flying across my screen. He lands in the main ad window on the right hand side and says: "Win you could $100000". It turns out that this is some strange Pepsi contest called the "Call upon Yoda" contest. If he answers your call, you could win $100000. I thought about that for a while after logging out, then pulled back up the main page. I figured I'd have to have the volume settings on to "hear Yoda's call", so I click the ad and shut off the mute. Little did I know that the volume was set all the way up. The Star Wars theme blares out of the computer and into the once silent library. All eyes turned on me as I dashed to mute the computer again. You can imagine that the rest of my day was...interesting...to say the least. The story spread quick, and before the end of the day, everyone in the school had heard about me "Calling for Yoda".

Hey, I do stupid stuff all the time, I'm sure there are other people who have things they don't mind sharing...provided there is no information about things like getting stuffed in lockers, wedgie attacks, etc.

For example: Today I did something else dumb. I woke up this morning and headed to the shower...I was so tired I nearly tripped getting in. Stood under the water for 10 minutes, then started cleaning myself. Got done, still tired, and headed downstairs for breakfast. Almost fell down the stairs. Ate breakfast, got ready for school, and left. Got to school and had trouble walking up the stairs (being as tired as I was). And that's when I logged on today, which could be the dumbest thing I've done today. Thankfully, no Yoda to embarrass me today.

See how my typical day goes? That already makes my personal klutz count 4 since I started this thread. That's all I'm looking for...little klutz moments.

Oooh, just the time I accidentally spit some chicken into my (now ex) boyfriend's face because I was laughing... and then proceeded to laugh even harder...

Ah yes, and it wasn't because of that episode that made him into "the ex".

Or maybe the time I fell down some stairs in high school... or the time I flipped a friend off and the principal was right behind me... hm...

For being a guy, I'm terribly klutzy. I figured, why not learn a little more about other people's mistakes...it'll make me feel good.

Oh, and today, after the pope was elected during lunch, I almost choked on a cookie. Yep, a cookie.

Hmm.... embarrassing... well, there was that time when I first got drunk... it was at a millienium party funny enough. Didn't know anyone, but three beers later I was well on the way to loudly proclaiming that "I was not drunk" and when I wasn't doing that I was having fun bouncing off walls.....



Needless to say, the next morning when everyone reminded me of my antics I felt very much like slipping away into some dark inconpicuous corner.

HAHA! I know what you mean... especially while trying to walk. But to me that's more funny than embarrassing... *shrug* ;D

It either means that the new pope is gonna do something bad or that I'm a nimrod. I'll go with answer c, all of the above.

One time Girl B found out that I liked Girl A, but did not realize that Girl C had her password, so Girl C read her e-mail and started talking to me about on instant messenger about Girl A while pretending to be Girl B, so when Girl B found out about it she changed her password, and now you are as hopelessly confused as we all were when we figured out what was going on...

There are different keyboards for different langauges. However, there are also key combination commands. I can get the ones need for Spanish and umlauts for both macs and pcs. Just remind me through a message later and I will post it in the handy stuff thread in the general forum.

Ummmm... in order,
- it is called a umlaut-O, and yes,
- sort of,
- quite true, holding down Alt while pushing numbers on the numpad can be used to generate any unicode character,
- and yes, same here.

Perhaps it would be better to start over.

I have a German keyboard. You plug it in, and it acts exactly like any other keyboard. You then go to Control Panel and change your regional settings (yay for boo) for input devices to German, and then the German keyboard works like a German keyboard. And when I am at school, I do not have a German keyboard, but I still went into the control panel settings and told the computer that there IS one, so the English keyboard on the school computer acts as if it were a German keyboard. And since I know the keys by memory it is no trouble. The only complaint I have is that the key that is used to type <, >, and | on the German keyboard does not exist on the English keyboard, so I have to switch back to the English layout to type them. But there is a shortcut key to switch, so it is no big deal anyway.

The German keyboard has all of the keys that the English keyboard has, along with a number of extra ones:
° ² ³ ß µ €
Accent marks: ´ ` ^ (pressed once, they accent the next-typed character; to type the accent alone, type it and spacebar. If the next character is not able to be accented by that particular mark, you get the mark and the accent separately, like ´z.)

Woke up when it was 25 minutes before school time... has too many kratingdaengs (thai red bull) for breakfast... so I get to stand in front of the class talking about irish music while being partially asleep and shivering due to the red bulls (that oddly enough did not have the energic effect on me)... Wasn't my best morning this year...
