Welcome! The 10000 Island Gambling corporation is now open for business and we hope that you will come experience the fun and risks involved in wagering on professional and 10KI sporting events. Although there have been informal wagering between nations at a small and insignificant level, this new business will allow a number of stations on which you can place your tacos and hope to cash in on much larger pots and win falls.
I (HockeyNutville), being the proprietor of this shop will make it a habit of keeping continued and varying events to wager on varying from many differing sports across the world. There will be two types of betting booths utilized:
1) Individual wagering tables: These tables will be used for individuals looking to bet a sum of tacos on a their favored team. Bets will be from a minimum of 100 tacos to a maximum of 2500. When possible, I will also try to keep track of accurate wagering lines (the odds) upon certain teams. (Please note that the betting limit is 2500. That is the maximum payout a table can make so for example: If you wager 100 tacos on a team with the odds at 100:1, you will receive the table's maximum limit which is 2500 tacos, not 10000 tacos.)
2) Collective pot wagering pools: These tables will be where you can put your money down on a selective team or in later pools, on player performances where you will pick players who you believe will total the highest number of points and the winner with the most points will win the jackpot. The wagers in these pools will be a fixed amount and will vary depending on my discretion to wards different pools. In any event of these pools, as a business, I look to make a profit and this business will take a third of the final collective pot as payment for it's services. For example: If we have 9 participants in a pool who have each put down the wager of 1000 tacos equaling a pot of 9000 tacos, the final payout to the winner will be 6000 tacos since the Gambling Corporation will receive a third of it. In the event of multiple winning nations, the final payout will be divided between them. In the event of no winner, The corporation will close in on the full pot or on only half of the total pot and take the remaining half and put it forth to wards another pool. Should there happen to be any table where there are insufficient people (At the discretion of the proprietor), the money will be refunded in full and the table shut down.
