See, normally I hate pop-up ads and would agree with this proposal. I'm sorry but a two-sentence proposal is just not specific enough for me. This could be a good idea, though, if somebody were to write a more specific proposal. But for now, I don't really want to vote for a proposal written by someone who can't spell 'banned' correctly.

I am against this measure. Being a dictator, I like to see the people suffer a little, yet being benevolent, pop-up blockers are legal in my nation so if you do not have one it is your own damn fault. Also, pop-ups are a harmless form of funding for many sites. Lastly, this resolution is so poorly written that it makes my brilliant citizens cry and claw at their eyes. This depresses the ninja-monkeys and I do not think any of you like to see the ninja-monkeys depressed, do you?

I agree that the propsal is a bit weak, and the person who proposed it has some grammar issues that are glaringly annoying ;D i cannot see myself voting yes for this even if i agree pop ups suck!

I voted no on this issue. I did this mainly due to 2 reasons. The first being the obvious lack of detail or attention put into the resolution and secondly, in The Adirondacks we tend to believe that a person's rights stop at their front door or wherever their nose is.

Where to start, firstly the nation proposing this idea can't spell, the proposal is not thought about enough and though everybody may hate popups they do good things (sometimes). They make some websites services free. To get any real support this proposal needs to be in more datail, its too vague.

The person that wrote the proposal can't spell. Also, the proposal is left-wing bs. I agree with Ostrander Kingdom, even if I was liberal, which I am not (as you can see by today's UN report), I would vote against the proposal wimply because of the ridiculous grammar.

Wimply- 1 when the simple reason is because someone was/is being a wimp 2 when the basic motives, desires, interests, etc. can be attributed to wimpiness

Just to reply to the topic itself (as opposed to "wimply," which is a hysterical word), I thought that very idea of the proposal was ill-concieved and horribly executed. If people want to get rid of pop-ups they can do so with free pop-up blockers or proxies that offer certain features (like Proximitron) that are readily available on the Internet. Making pop-ups illegal would solve nothing, and simply create a large hassle and a big stir for everyone.

It'd be best to let them die a natural death, seeing as they've gone from their "useful" phase into their "annoyingly abused" phase. They'll go into the "disappearing" phase soon enough.

The definition I have heard the most is also a wuss or a sissy. But I wouldn't doubt that a wimp is a subatomic particle.
