I believe that it is time to formalize what is fact. As Leader of the Liberal Party; I am dissolving the Party effective September 5. This delay is placed so that there is sufficient time for any Liberal Party member who might so desire to take the reins. The party was effectively dead even before I became leader; and with the advent of the SDP, which is a more appealing party to liberals, the Liberal Party is obsolete. Again, if you are a member and you wish to try to take over, contact me. If I am not contacted by midnight, September 5, by which I mean the point between the night of September 4 and morning of the 5th, the Party will be officialy considered to be dissolved. I will notify whatever authorities are appropriate at that time that the Liberal Party is no more.
Anyone want to take up the reins for the reawakening of the Liberal Party? I know that with all the things I'm getting involved with, I couldn't do it solely.

I may run as an independent/OEE candidate, and the OEE will definitely offer a candidate even if I don't, so there will still be more than just the RCP and SDP in this race. However, as I said above, the LP came into my hands dead, and I simply do not have the motivation or time to revive it.
I may actually rejoin the party under new leadership. I'm not a good Grand Poobah, I'm more of a high-level adviser type, which is why I originally planned to kill the thing.
