should TITO lauch pre-emptive strikes against region crashers?

No. TITO is a defensive organization, and should continue to remain as such. By attacking other regions pre-emptively, we would turn into an invading region ourselves. We should only attack for defensive purposes and should honor another region's wishes if they don't want us to help them. Like with France. TITO is fine the way it is.

Perhaps we could even postpone the debate until the wrap-up of the "Convention of the Political-Parties" since the convention will be geared to Political Party Ground RUles, as agreed upon by all political parties.

I believe this Debate thread should have only responses from represenatives from Political Parties.
Simply state the Organization, and who is speaking on their behalf.

Also I believe the issues should be a mutual agreement, and not be ordered by only one member.

It is up to Grub to decide how TITO will run. TITO is out of the Constitution's realm as far as I'm concerned and out of the Senate's control. TITO is defense, not offense. This issue is debatable, but it will still boil down to the decision of the Founder, not ours.

Yes it is Grub's choice but if enough of the TITO members want pre-emptive strikes should we not have them?

Truly if this was an issue that really needed concern, then many TITO members would have raised it a long time ago. I cannot speak for myself but I do not believe all of our members in 10000 Islands truly note the motive of TITO and the reasoning behind that.

The Green Party will stand for pre-emtive strikes..
At some point a poll will be made to determine exactly how many TITO members move for this idea.

It is obvious that we The Green Party are on our own in this matter in the politcal parties, this is why we would like to put it to the vote.

I will make a thread with the poll when all our members have returned.

As for Izdambodia.
What you say is true. If TITO members would want this, then why have they not mentioned this before. Well as i have already said a poll will determine this.

Also did you mean that all nations in 10000 Islands basicly know what TITO is all about?

As Tri-Chancellor and a Policy Spokesperson of the UDA Party, we will have our "official" response as soon as our Council meeting is conviened and perhaps when the "Convention of the Political-Parties" takes place.

Pre Emptive just means invading. We would still be region crashing. We might be able to stop a few but sooner or later their would be one corrupt attack. And then we would lose our allies.

I think people are taking this a bit wrong, 10,000 Islands is well known as a peaceful region unlike some of her neighbours, I think this is the main reason why many of us moved here in the first place.

But, Peace must be protected, aggressive "Region Crashing" is not what the Green Party is suggesting, we are talking about a Strong and in some case Proactive TITO but only in the case when a majority of the members are in favour of this, Grub is the undisputed commander in chief of TITO and all decisions fall to him but from what I have seen, he is a reasonable man.

In the case where significant evidence is compiled against a region, then action should be taken, pre-emptively.

Should non-TITO Nations play a bigger role in 10000 Islands

If a nation becomes a clear and present danger to our region it seems to me that's what TITO is for. No pre emption unless it is to stop a clear danger from growing that is a threat to us. This is also the LIBERTARIAN PARTY position.

Should we support a UN referendum to stop the legislating of morality that affect the rights of individual nations ?


As for one opinion I say we should stand firmly against any tyranny that threatens our individual rights. Even if it means pulling out of the UN.

As an example of a member who pulled out of the UN for exactly this reason, Conservative Heartland itself agrees 100% with the stance taken by Texarcana. As a proud, sovereign, conservative nation Conservative Heartland could not accept being forced to legalize prostitution by the United Nations and promptly resigned. I will not get into the morality of the prostitution issue, just that an international body such as the UN should not be dictating morally divisive issues such as prostitution.

I cannot speak for my party (I hope to do that later) but personally I did not see this attack as something to be proud of, something to be reckoned with, something that really surprised me. I came to 10000 Islands because the UN delegate of the Urbanites told this region was about region defending. I came here after the Free Pacific Army was grieved by its own founder. I expected defense, not offense. Are my comments subjective and controversial? Yes they are, and I do hope that this debate will be informative and useful, not just a bunch of yelling back and forth.

Sometimes, offensive actions are the best defensive ones, and so it was in this case. Everyone should be doing their duty to TITO, and most of us did, even though we did or did not like it, looking back at the situation, I'm happy that things turned out the way they did.
