Mantisico, one of the mantises who had been blessed with the ability to speak through chirps, says:
"Chow, like that? Bon Geeorno, is that how you say it? Bon Po-mer-rig-gee-oh," Mantisico sounds the next one out, though the look on her strange face shows uncertainty. "Bon ah Ser-ah? Bon ah Note? Arrive (as in the english word) ah-der-chi? And then...Salute-ee? Is that right?"

Mantisico thinks Mrs. Gambi's speech is interesting and takes notes mentally. The giant mantis has an awesome memory, and as such rarely needs to take notes at important meetings. In case something comes up that she will have a hard time remembering, she has a specially-adapted (and prepared by the government) writing implement and regular paper.

very good Mutanatia! I like the chirps! ( but notte= note-tay). Onomatopoeia, like chirps, are sometimes the same and sometimes different, just like dogs can say arf arf, ruff ruff, bow wow or in Italian Bau bau...Italian chickens say pi-u pi-u for instance, NOT cheep cheep...strange huh? Some of my Italian faves are;
Uffa! ( pronounced oofah ) and Boh? ( pronouced Buh or Ba also) and Mah....any guesses class?

Mantisico chirps again. "No-tay?" She says, trying her best to move her pincers around her mouth into a smile. "Is that right? Mah sounds like it could be a sheep, but I have no idea what the others are."
