There once was a poem from Nantucket...

That's right, it's time for the Islands' June Poet Laureate Contest! This time around, the only requirement is that the poem be in the form of a limerick. The limerick is a five-line poem with the rhyme scheme AABBA; more details on the syllable and stress requirements can be found here.

Only citizens may submit, and there's a limit of one poem submission per citizen. Please PM me all entries by 11:59 P.M. PDT, Thursday, June 8^th. Do NOT post your entries here or otherwise share them with anyone else but me. Good luck!
